Exciting News: We're Launching a New ERP System on August 1st

Dear customers,


At Preston Technical, we are always looking for ways to improve our service, streamline operations, and provide you with an even better experience. With that in mind, we're excited to announce that we will be going live with a brand new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system on 1st August.


This upgrade marks a significant step forward in how we manage everything from order processing to inventory control. However, we’d like to make you aware of a few important changes and temporary disruptions during the transition.


What’s Changing?

  • New Account Numbers – All customers will be issued a new account number in our system.

  • Updated Document Layouts – Invoices, delivery notes, and other documents will have a fresh new format.

  • Revised Product Part Numbers – All our product codes will change to align with the new system.


Temporary Disruption – 1st August

To ensure a smooth transition, please note that no orders will be processed or stock shipped on 1st August. This one-day pause allows our team to complete the switch-over with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.


What You Can Expect

While our team has been thoroughly trained and the system has undergone extensive testing, we acknowledge that change can come with some growing pains. There may be occasional issues as we settle in—and for that, we apologise in advance.


If you do experience any delays or unexpected problems, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. Your feedback will be invaluable as we fine-tune the system in the coming weeks.
